An estimated 15 million Americans will be dealing with food allergies this holiday season. A 2013 study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated food allergies among children increased approximately 50% between 1997 and 2011. With the demand increasing so much, it’s no wonder allergen friendly foods are becoming more available at the grocery store. Having allergen friendly family favorites on the table without sacrificing taste is a welcoming new reality for those 15 million Americans. Being someone who deals with a food allergy, I know I am more than thankful for this growing segment in food. What is your favorite allergen friendly food?
