How is Christmas just 2 weeks away? All the Christmas music and movies really have me in the spirit this year. One of my kids’ favorite movies is The Polar Express. It’s also a theme for the Christmas party this year at school. It’s the perfect opportunity to give kids healthier options at their class party or get customers excited for a food demo.
If I could scream something about healthy eating from a mountain top, it would be, “MAKE FOOD FUN!” Food is a universal language that we gather around. When you give kids, parents, or customers something fun and interesting, it draws them into trying something new. It also starts a conversation.
Get on “track” with this train idea to promote healthy eating in the classroom or in the grocery store. It’s so simple, and I have done the work for you! All you need is a shoebox, construction paper, my Train Display Pack, and some healthier food options.
Ziploc has their limited edition containers out in red, green, and gold. They make the perfect train cars for your table.
So, this isn’t a perfect train, but it took me about 20 minutes to make it from a shoe box. I cut off the lid and used half of it for the top. I glued cardboard to the sides and used construction paper to cover it. It’s super simple if you don’t have a train lying around!
Can you believe those tracks are electrical tape? You can also use a thick sharpie if you are in a bind. You can just tape the wheels on.
I have several other table tents for cars available in my Train Display Pack.
CHOO! CHOO! All aboard for healthy eating!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
