Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love and friendship. It’s a day we get showered with beautiful roses, chocolates, and candy galore. With adult and childhood obesity on the rise, I think it’s important to challenge ourselves to think outside the box and give the gift of health for holiday celebrations. There are many other great options to choose from in the produce department of your grocery store. You can put any of these in a nice basket and put the caption on a cute card. You could even give some of these out as single pieces with a note attached or cook some up for a healthier Valentine’s Day dinner.
