Can you believe April is almost here? I have been busy working on a new format and redesign of this site. I want to streamline things and make them more focused on shopping smarter and supermarket dietitians and resources they can use in store. I would love to hear your suggestions on what you would like to see.
Organization is critical for supermarket RDs to make an impact on consumer health. Knowing what resources are out there is important in communicating any nutrition message. Stay tuned below for your own downloadable ‘done for you’ April Calendar.
Here is “What’s in Store” for April:
SoyFooods.org has some great resources for you. Their #soyswaps campaign for 2015 has social media messages and retailer resources. See below for an example.
If you want to know what a handful of pecans can do for you, check out ilovepecans.org for health and nutrition information.
Do we ever really talk about celery? Well, no. April is it’s month, so we will let it shine. Find out more about this underrated veg.
IBS Awareness Month
Diet can make a major impact on this reoccuring GI disorder. Learn more about IBS and check out these dietitians who are leaders in diet and IBS. They have great resources on the FODMAP diet.

Autism Awareness Month

Her book, Eating for Autism, is a must read and so helpful for parents with kids with autism.
Her book, Special Needs Kids Eat Right, is also filled with a wealth of information and strategies for kids with autism.
